Tilt Shift

Recently, I've become very interested in tilt shift photography. Now, I know it's nothing new; in fact it's not even new to me. But I've recently learned how to get a similar effect in photoshop. True tilt shift photography uses a special lense that is tilted a an angle so that it shifts the focal plain allowing you to take pictures from a great distance, but only put one section in focus. The result is an optical illusion that makes the subject appear as a minature model, like a train set. Below are before an after pictures. The first one, the before, is a picture of somewhere in Italy that I got from a random web site. The second one is the same picture after I photoshopped it to look like it was taken with a tilt shift lense. Now, I don't claim to be great at photoshop, and I'm still perfecting my technique, but you can get an idea of the effect.
